This is Austin's first season with First Ascent as an assistant guide. We are impressed with his passion for climbing and his ability to communicate well with everyone.
He is one of those rare Bend natives and has loved the outdoors his entire life. He followed his passions to Colorado where he attended Colorado Christian University and earned a degree in Business Marketing and Leadership. During his time in Colorado, Austin climbed, snowboarded and enjoyed all that Colorado has to offer. One of the most influential times in his life was when he spent a semester in Patagonia, Chile with the National Outdoor Leadership School where he learned to be comfortable and survive in any outdoor environment.
