Dustin is an assistant guide with First Ascent, and although this is his first season with us he has been leading trips for the adventure program of Oregon State University for the past two years.
Dustin recently graduated from OSU with a bachelor's degree in chemistry with an education option, and has plans to pursue a career teaching high school. It was while attending OSU that he discovered a passion for climbing. He promptly attained a job at the local climbing gym where he enjoyed sharing his knowledge and passion with anyone who was interested.

Dustin is excited about sharing his love for Smith Rock this summer, and he's looking forward to facilitating a fun and safe experience for First Ascent clients.
Dustin is a certified Wilderness First Responder.
