Ty's hobbies outside of climbing include learning how to telemark ski and snowboard, running, rafting, snowshoeing, and enjoying the outdoors any way he can. His first exposure to climbing was as a child when he participated in several adventure camps that had a climbing component. He started to climb on a regular basis when he started at OSU, and quickly got hooked. His two favorite climbing spots right now are Bishop CA, and Red Rocks, NV. His goals for the summer are to provide the safest environment possible where clients are able to push themselves both physically and mentally, and share the wonder that is Smith Rock.
